On top of “The Hand” and “The Weaver Needles” in sunny Arizona.

While Winter arrived in most of the US at this time of the year, center Arizona stays pretty mild and provides great conditions for rock climbing. From the several trips there, it actually was one of the most enjoyable season despite the short days.

View on the West of the Superstitions and Flatiron from the “Old Dutchman” entrance
Leaving off the main trail to smaller ones when getting close to them
Impressive sunset with Phoenix lights in the background
“The Hand” is easy to spot and tops in the 70 meters / 230 feet
After the 3-pitch climb, a long (but single) rappel with two 70-meter ropes, ~5.5 YDS grade
Then off to the middle of the park and the majestic “Weaver Needles”
The main ~5.4 YDS grade route goes in between them..
.. before continuing to the Northern one.
Amazing Arizona winter sunrise after a cowboy camping 1 pitch short to the summit
