The school located in the central Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, his hometown, educates children about sports and also serves as support for general school disciplines. This is one of hundreds of academies he has helped establish throughout different places in the world including Asia, Europe and Latin America. He is active in his role of official ambassador with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) since 2006 signaling his great commitment towards improving children’s lives in the world through soccer and education.
