Artem Popov, co-founder of Roobee, blockchain-based investment platform and the “Buffett’s $10”, met in the Silicon Valley with Pavel Cherkashin, Managing Partner of GVA Capital.
Pavel Cherkashin is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, investor, and an author of two best-selling books. He worked at Microsoft and was the Country Manager at ORACLE and Adobe. Now Pavel is the Managing Partner of GVA Capital, a VC company which helps young startups successfully go global.
The meeting went in The Hack Temple, an old church that Pavel had converted into a home for startups. Artem talked with Pavel about technology, investing and the market in general.
In August of 2016, GVA Capital bought out the building of the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Church in San Francisco. Pavel renovated the interior while staying true to the original architecture and aesthetics of the building. Since the church received designation as a historical landmark, the exterior cannot be touched.
Small private spaces allow for working in silence or holding meetings. There is also a patio covered with artificial grass that is often used for ping-pong.
