We are happy to let you know that we’ve integrated the Optimistic Ethereum (OΞ) network to Roobee.finance! The deployment to Optimistic Ethereum will help to significantly increase transaction processing speed and lower gas fees for Roobee.finance users.
What is Optimism Ethereum L2?
Optimistic Ethereum is a very promising L2 solution that focuses on improving the scalability of the Ethereum network. Optimism is a ‘separate’ blockchain, but unlike other L2 solutions, it is tightly coupled with the Ethereum network. In many ways, it can be seen as an extension of Ethereum.
Optimism Ethereum performs all transaction computations on its own network but stores transaction data on the Ethereum chain. It also supports Ethereum programming languages. As a result, the Optimism network inherits not only the economic security of Ethereum but also Ethereum’s software security.
Transactions on Optimism Ethereum are processed instantly and cost roughly ten times cheaper when compared to Ethereum.
Ethereum bridged to OE is represented by the Optimistic Ethereum (OETH) token.

How do I start using the Optimistic network?
Before you start, please make sure that your wallet supports the Optimistic network. For example, Optimistic has already been integrated to Trust Wallet. If you are a MetaMask user, you’ll first need to set up your MetaMask for the Optimistic network.

Like any other network, Optimistic Ethereum charges transaction fees. The native currency of Optimistic is OETH — and all transaction fees are also charged in OETH. In order to send a transaction via Optimistic, you’ll need enough OETH in your wallet.
Once your wallet is set up, you are ready to migrate assets to the Optimistic network. You can send your ETH to Optimistic via Optimism Gateway to receive OETH for further interaction with the network.
What new capabilities have been introduced for users with the integration of OΞ to Roobee.Finance?
As a first step, we’ve added bridges for Optimism Ethereum and a user dashboard. Roobee.finance users are already able to migrate their assets to Optimistic via Optimism Gateway and cbridge . OΞ is compatible with a number of popular wallets including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and WalletConnect.
In the near future, we’ll be adding more solutions and products for interaction with Optimistic!
