I have come to a conclusion.

America is fucked.

And the only way to survive in the not-so-distant future if you’re not —

• wealthy,
• gainfully employed in tech or another in-demand white-collar profession,
• living in free or cheap housing or,
• a skilled tradesperson (think plumber, electrician, carpenter, really good all-around handyperson)

— is to properly focus on a career in hospitality.

Granted, maybe not the only way. But it could end up one of the few viable ways if you hope to stay in America and live in a large- or medium-sized city.

If you think that’s hyperbolic or otherwise extreme, take a step back.

People throw around terms such as fascism and oligarchy all day long as part of our inane political discourse. Most of the time it’s just useless rhetoric that only prolongs shallow debate.
