Six months ago, my wife and I made a YouTube video sharing exactly how much money we spend each month to live in Galicia, Spain.

It’s a good video, and I’m proud of the info we share and the feedback we’ve received.

But even though we gave a full breakdown of our monthly expenses including:

  • rent (€600/month)
  • utilities (€60)
  • groceries (€400)
  • dining (€300)
  • transit (€140)
  • and entertainment (€90)

…I feel like we didn’t capture just how…freeing it is to live in an affordable place.

Fortunately, my wife went to the beach with some girlfriends last weekend, and it provided the perfect example of why we love living in Spain so much.

So here’s a glimpse of what affordability looks like in Spain why being able to afford the “little things” is such a big deal.
