HOW WOMEN GIVE BIRTH INFORMS EVERY ASPECT OF ALL OF OUR LIVES.

The cultural experience of birthing women will be widely reflected in how we approach life, death and the values we hold as a society.

The mother is the original source of food and labor (as Emily Olivet puts it), and determinant of survival.

Currently, our values of the birthing mother mirror to us that we pathologize her ability to create and give life. Abuse is the encouraged default.

Therefore we have pathologized every life being on earth that wouldn’t produce capital in it’s default or original state. We must institutionalize life and make it a commodity. Interventionism ideology isn’t formed out of a desire to make the world better, safer. But rather, interventionism is the only way that is profitable. And the first thing that must be exploited for profit is our survival needs (food, labor) which means women and the earth are at the root of mass exploitation.

Just about every single problem we face would be completely turned on it’s head and eradicated- all things would return to vibrant homeostasis- if all (or most) women experienced sovereign, physiological, ecstatic births. The original source of our survival needs would be wide awake and immune to exploitation. If you can’t exploit the mother/child relationship you can’t exploit anyone or anything.

Women birthing in power, out of captivity, IS the holy grail we are all longing to experience. Wake the mothers, wake the world.
