Just got word that the GREENBELT is closed. For those not familiar with Austin, the greenbelt is a nature reserve that contains over 12 miles of trails, greenery, water and swimming holes that wraps around the city of Austin with multiple entrances around town. It really is the soul of the city.

I’ve heard Lady Bird Lake, and parks and amenities are/will be closing as well….but I have not confirmed these.

I’ve come to the point where I feel compelled to aggressively reject the attempts at not allowing humans to get sick. Last I checked, getting sick wasn’t illegal.

The ability to obtain natural immunity to a novel disease is a human right. Much like a woman’s right to ovulate. Which has also been sold as “non essential.”

Exposure to viruses and bacteria is essential for proper and robust immune function. Monthly ovulation is essential for proper and robust hormone function, which is inextricably connected to every other function in a woman’s body.

Why am I equating ovulation with Covid?

I’m not exactly, but try to follow. I’m speaking to our attempts at eradicating fertility and sickness at all costs. Devastating costs. I’m speaking to this thing we do where we go to war with ourselves. And it’s going to kill us (it already is).

It’s similar to the frustration I feel that I can’t get my kid to catch the wild chickenpox. These diseases are essential for maturation and the development of the immune system. Keeping our kids free from one time childhood diseases is weakening the overall health of our species. Meaning, people are going to become less and less able to combat things like Covid in the future. So no, no one has chicken pox or measles anymore, they just have asthma and allergies and autism and autoimmune issues and developmental delays and eczema and ear infections and a runny nose and cough that never goes away out the wazoo. The kids are just chronically ill. But thank god they don’t have 4 days of fever and a rash. 😏

If what you care about is human lives, WE HAVE TO LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE. Short term thinking will never work.

And for all the feminists/leftists/“progressives” out there who want to “slay the patriarchy,” please consider that these solutions given to us by our government and medical body are derived from patriarchal thinking that puts us at war with everything and just wants to stamp out, cut out, and kill any perceived problem. It’s not about living in alignment with our bodies, with nature, with truth.

It is *often* the people who I see abhorring the patriarchy the most that are the ones who also most want to benefit from it.

What gives?

…….

I urge everyone to really sit with what is being stolen from us in the long run when we seek out short term solutions to perceived problems. When we go to war with our bodies. When we make nature the enemy.

Going to war with viruses. Going to war with our fertility. Going to war with the natural cycles and rhythms of nature, is really just an outward manifestation of how we’re at an internal war with ourselves
