At ROSE, we are constantly looking for advancements and inspiration within the XR community. Check out some of the latest XR experiences making a splash in our July/August XR round-up!

1. Ford’s AR Headlights

Ford’s latest technological advancement- headlights that are capable of light projection. By utilizing AR technologies, these new headlights can display important information on the road in front of drivers. This information ranges from directions to street signs, allowing users to never take their eyes off of the road. These projections “could benefit other road users too” , says Ford and allow for an overall safer driving experience.

2. A Virtual Fair for Virtual Jobs

Active Replica hosted a virtual job fair in the metaverse this past month. Within the space, attendees were able to attend booths and speak with professionals in the XR industry about potential employment or educational opportunities. While the fair was designed for attendees to use a VR headset, there was also an option to connect through desktop or mobile devices.

3. What’s so funny in VR?

Keenan Thompson is once again searching for the next big name in comedy for season 13 of his competition show Ultimate Comedy Experience. Only this year, he has expanded his search into the virtual world. To do so, Thompson has teamed up with Kyle Render, founder of the VR comedy show Failed to Render Comedy.
