Partner Portal

We know how much time and resources are wasted on redundant “busy work” when freight is dispatched from one broker/carrier to another. Double data entry, tracking tracing, and document retrieval are just some of the main time wasters. Partner Portal is the latest game changing module from the Rose Rocket team that eliminates many of these tasks.

There are two versions of the partner portal, one that allows you to dispatch loads from one instance of Rose Rocket to another and another version that resembles the customer portal many of your customers use and love.

  1. Partner Portal between two Rose Rocket partner carriers

With Partner Portal you can instantly tender loads from your Rose Rocket account to a partner’s account. No manifests. No email. No phone calls. No expensive, time consuming, aggravating EDI integrations establish. Simply dispatch the load in your instance and it will automatically appear in your partner’s instance. From that moment forward, both parties will have full transparency to the dispatch. This means never having to check on the status of an order or having to ask for important documentation. We’ve even given you the ability to chat with your partner carrier.

Setting up the connection is simple. You won’t need special code or IT consultants, we’ve already done the heavy-lifting. All you have to do is ask for this service to be turned on and we will deliver the functionality to you with the flick of a switch.

2. Partner Portal with a non-Rose Rocket partner carrier

If you have some partner carriers that you regularly dispatch freight to but they are not using Rose Rocket, we’ve created a portal you can use to communicate with them.

The portal is very much like the customer portal. It will present users with the ability to see loads that have been tendered to them, accept the loads, upload documents, and chat. All the same functionality we’ve mentioned above, but you will have to create user logins much like you do your customers for the customer portal.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?

Right now we are looking for candidates to participate in a test of Partner Portal Beta. If you have a partner carrier that you know is also on Rose Rocket OR you’re considering an EDI integration with a partner carrier who you think might be a good candidate to become a Rose Rocket customer, please reach out to us! We’d like you to get full access to the Partner Portal to collect your feedback and add to this amazing module!

Send ETA

If you’d like to quickly share the ETA of an order with a customer, you can now do that from the Order Details page of a shipment. In the top right corner, click “send ETA” and fill out what you want to share. The ETA can be sent to the customer’s portal or any email you choose.

Inside the customer’s portal the customer can see the ETA data in the bottom right corner of the map inside the order, as well as a log in the Activity field.

Consolidated Invoice/Bills adjustments

Sometimes you may want to apply a surcharge or a discount to a consolidated invoice or bill. For example, if you are paying a driver for a week’s worth of manifests but want to deduct for fuel over that same period, you can now consolidate all of their manifests for that week and apply a one-time deduction for the fuel.

NOTE: this functionality will not be in Sandbox until Thursday March 14th.

Required Times for Waypoints

We’ve enhanced the usefulness of waypoints on a manifest. Before you could add a waypoint but not define any time constraints, now you can add time constraints. This means, if you have expect a driver or carrier to arrive at a waypoint by a certain date and time, you can set the expectation inside the manifest so it appears on all paperwork generated inside that manifest (i.e. rate confirmation or driver manifests).

Add a manifest waypoint inside the details page of a manifest. Then click on the three vertical dots to the far right of that stop. Select “update times”. Define the expected arrive time and save your changes.

Rate Confirmation

We’ve made a minor change to the Rate Confirmations document. Before, it included the schedule derived from our Google Maps calculation. This was confusing for anyone looking at a Rate Confirmation because it showed the schedule time for the stop from Google Maps and the required time based on the shipment. To make things simpler, we are only showing the required times based on the shipments on the manifest.

Spot Quote by Carrier

As a broker who spot quotes shipments, you may need to create several quotes based on the various carriers you get quotes from. When you create the quotes for your customer you might want to track which carrier the quote was based on. Now, when you create a spot quote for an order, you can choose to define a carrier instead of a particular service. The potential carriers will be the same as carrier profiles in the carrier module.

Create an order and add a spot quote. In the top left corner, there will be a field where you can select a carrier.

All reports have been updated to include the selected carrier or the the service as applicable.

Who gets it?

This enhancement will be available to all Rose Rocket customers in Sandbox on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 and in Production on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019
