Data Lab

This piece of data represents the searches of American Football, Soccer, and Football between 2004 and 2019. Its focus is on a worldwide focus and examines every country on earth. The data shows that Football is the most Common thing searched by a large margin. Second appears to be American Football and Soccer takes up the rear in last.

Our brains prefer the basic numbers because it is basic arithmetic that our brain can quickly understand without other tools such as a computer or calculator. As the book described we as humans would rather see higher uneven numbers because it makes it seem like we did better despite the fact that is inaccurate. The graphs visualize the data and show us that these two scores are the same percentages of a whole score one being 80% and the other 20%.

In this piece of data the green dots are representing quarterback Drew Brees and the Blue represents Josh Rosen. Its comparing the two quarterbacks scores and skills for the 2018 NFL season. It clearly shows that Drew Brees is the superior quarterback in every aspect of the sport. For instance he has less sacks and interceptions, but more touchdowns.

This graph represents the economic job growth between 1990 and 2017. The three recessions are highlighted and annotated showing why there is negative job growth. The rest is positive job growth from 1990 to 2017.
