In 2015, Rosenfeld Media launched the Enterprise UX conference for designers and researchers who tackle the complexities of designing for and within large companies. In 2019, we dropped the “U” from the name and became “Enterprise Experience” in order to invite our cross-functional partners to the conversation. In 2021, we are iterating again, to reflect the changes in needs, challenges and maturity of our audience. Welcome to the world, the Design at Scale conference!

What is Design at Scale?

If you are familiar with the E(U)X conference, think of Design at Scale as “enterprise experience beyond basics”. Instead of tackling all enterprise challenges, we will focus on those of higher scale and complexity, be that management, leadership, or craft. We are making room for a deeper conversation on advanced topics pertinent to designing and operating at scale.

If you are new to the conference, welcome! You will find yourself at home if any of the statements below resonate with who you are and what you do:

You architect complex solutions

You’re an IC whose design scope is systems, not features. The design challenges you tackle span multiple product pillars, technologies, or audiences.

You manage complex teams

Your team includes multiple disciplines or levels of management and operates at scale. You are scaling up and taking over.

Your leadership goes beyond UX

You are a business leader whose impact is felt beyond your immediate sphere of influence. Whether your leadership stems from your design, management or interpersonal skills, you are an influencer and a thought leader.

If this is your world, now or in the future, join us June 9–11 for a conversation about design at scale.
