Blog 6: Revising

For this blog, practice applying the principles of revision that Harris outlines in the reading for today. Select a paragraph from Draft 1 of your research paper and copy it to start your blog entry. Then, write a revision of that paragraph in which you practice sharpening your point, clarifying the analysis, and developing a more fully-formed paragraph. In other words, following Harris’s example don’t edit—revise. Then, write a brief reflection (roughly 150 words) on what strategy you took in revising and how you think the second paragraph is improved or more developed from the first.

1. original paragraph from Draft 1
2. revised version of that paragraph practicing what Harris suggests in the “Revising” chapter.
3. Roughly 150-word reflection on that revision
