“Countering,” Confidence, and Civility: Blog Post 3

Find (and link to) an example of what Joe Harris calls “countering” and offer an explanation of how one author is countering or “suggesting a different way of thinking.” Do they uncover values at play in the discussion of their topic? Do they “dissent”? Are they civil in their disagreement? Give a little commentary that evaluates the effectiveness of the response one writer offers to another.
