Personally I believe that through the help of twitter or facebook social change can be achieved. In Gladwell’s article, he however does not think tweeting will be the way to achieve change. Gladwell used the example of Woolworth lunch counter. Four black students sat down and refused to leave until they were served, this then grew to thousands of people by the following days. Gladwell’s argument Is that these four students were able to achieve this without the help of social media. However, Walton believes that through twitter and other technology sources, like TV, we are able to discuss and share easier and faster than before. Stephen also explains the length of time it would take just to gain attention to a hate crime committed. Where with twitter, gaining attention on a tweet where someone is treating someone else wrong, is not hard to accomplish. Even though Gladwell gave good examples I tend to lean more towards the arguments of Walton and Stephen. I do think both ways of stopping injustice work in ways the others do not, however twitter and social media are the tools we have to work with today.
