Jazmyn, Allison, and Chris² comprise Team Flyover, a set of MBAs looking to experience the Ross mission of building a better world through business firsthand. Whether it be in the boardroom, in the classroom, or in the community, we hope to leverage our experiences to drive impact for the people and places that are often flown over by public attention. Our aim is to partner with and learn from social entrepreneurs and organizations that provide benefits to Native American communities in the Midwest.

Jazmyn Becker

Prior to coming to Ross, Jazmyn worked in the social impact space and in human resources. She started her career as a Teach for America Corps member in Detroit where she first experienced the power of community and relationships to create impact. Most recently, she worked at YWCA where she served as Director of Girls and Youth programming, focusing on gender equity efforts in youth and education arenas. She is passionate about creating space and structure for stronger relationships and lasting engagement. After Ross she plans to pursue a career in human capital consulting. In her free time she likes to go on bike rides, try new workout classes, and listen to storytellers. Jazmyn is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University , where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, majoring in Business and Educational Policy.

Chris Gradone

Prior to coming to Ross for his MBA, Chris was a management consultant at Kearney in Chicago, where he worked on strategic transformation projects for mostly pharmaceutical and pharmacy clients. Through Ross he is an aspiring technologist and is transitioning to product management at a tech company. Outside of work, Chris was a pro-bono consultant for Community Health, an organization dedicated to supporting patients in the local community who are in the Medicaid or Medicare coverage gap. Chris’s upbringing near historical Native American lands in Ohio was an important source of personal inspiration as he aims to connect with midwestern Native communities through Open Road.

Chris Nguyen

Chris came to Ross after spending five years as a healthcare consultant in San Francisco, working with a range of hospitals and health systems through complex business issues and environments. Along the way, he served as a pro bono consultant for local Bay Area social impact and non-profit organizations, focusing in the food justice and sustainability space. He is driven by his desire to dedicate his time, skills, and passion towards creating more equitable communities for underserved populations. Chris earned Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science at UCLA and is the proud son of two Vietnamese refugees. A California native, he is looking forward to driving through the Midwest and giving back to the place he now calls home.

Allison Winstel

Allison believes strongly in the power of community and throughout her life has committed to using and expanding her business skillset to serve the people and communities around her. Prior to Ross as a Strategy & Operations consultant at Deloitte, she helped transform healthcare and higher education organizations so they could better serve their missions and customers. Throughout that time, Allison also led Deloitte’s Chicago Office Social Impact Community, creating a space for social impact-minded colleagues to gather, learn, and support local and international nonprofits. Allison credits her time at Indiana University where she majored in Nonprofit Management and led Indiana University Dance Marathon, a student-run philanthropy, with inspiring her to pursue a career in social impact. As the granddaughter and daughter of small business owners and a native Midwesterner, she is incredibly humbled by the opportunity to support entrepreneurs throughout the Midwest through Open Road.
