How Might We Redesign Parent-Teacher Conferences?
We are so excited to be partnering with The Teacher’s Guild and The RSA in a global Design Thinking collaboration focusing on redesigning parent-teacher conferences. Around the world teachers, parents, and students are always looking for ways to work better as a team. There is always room for improvement in this high-stakes relationship.
The Design Thinking process is a set protocol to generate actionable ideas to address ambiguous needs. We start with the Discover phase where we learn as much as we can about the current state of parent-teacher conferences. What is working? What isn’t? How would each player like to see them different? We then move into the Ideate phase where we will be calling for as many innovative ideas as possible to add to the collective knowledge of the group. We then spend time in the Evolve phase fine-tuning our ideas and making them actionable. Then finally we Select our favorites and put them into play.
Design Thinking is a participatory process. To grow the collective we must all contribute. Check out The Teacher’s Guild web site, create an account and share your ideas.
