Throwback…
Bit arrogant to feature my own (co-produced) tune but I love this one and it has a bit of a story behind it.
Closer was made originally to fit studio recorded lyrics (featuring the word “closer” prominently) of a VERY well known artist. Area Grey and I were in a position where we could take these lyrics and produce a #futuregarage official remix! Excitement doesn’t contain it.
Well, if you know anything about “the music scene” in general this won’t surprise you — a once very promising deal, didn’t come off. But, we weren’t about to waste that effort.
Changing the structure a bit (and obviously removing the vocals!), we went about releasing it as the other side of a classic #UKG sounding track with Route 1 Audio on the Flying in Monochrome EP Vol1 (Vol2 is in progress!) and cements itself as one of our favourites. This felt like one of the weird B sides you used to get, different vibe to the A but hopefully the secret sick one!
