So it’s been a while, we’ve had a lot happening with the label but we’ve decided to go back to back to basics and revive this segment.

Each week we will be sharing the tracks with you that have been recently released that we’re really feeling. This is the place to look when you hear us hammering a track in our Dj sets or radio shows but you didn’t catch the name.

So lets get to it….

  1. Trim & James Blake — Man like me

Trim & James Blake team up again for the latest release on Blakes 1800 Dinosaur imprint. As always it’s a winning combination when these two get together.

Man like me is the B-side to title track RPG but honestly I think this one is the winner of the two. Trim’s flows perfectly over Blake’s production in a way many Mc’s struggle to do.

This one can only be described as weighty! Expect to hear this one on heavy rotation on our Hoxton Fm show.

2.L-WIZ — Crystal Eyes

Some synthy purple goodness from L-Wiz on this one. If your a fan of the ‘Purple’ sound like us then the Swedish really need no introduction.

As always it’s never a disapointment when these guys drop something new. This one is another B-side. The title track Goe definitely holds its own but for me Crystal Eyes is definitely where it’s at. Go listen below.

3.SNKLS — Girls

In anticipation of the release of Le Frenchwork Vol.2 SNKLS has dropped some feel good Footwork in the form of Girls.

It is literally imposible to not like this track. It’s out now on the LFW Bandcamp page, you can name your own price and it’s definitely worth a donation!

Remeber Le Frenchwork Vol.2 is out on the 7th November so be sure to keep an eye out for it. (I’ve heard it already and its straight FIRE!)

4.Wize — Three Years Later

Ok so Wize is a firm favourite over here at Route 1, regular listeners to the Hoxton Fm show will have heard Lost Woods on more than a few ocassions. As you may have guessed by the name ‘Three Years Later’ this is an old track. Well not quite, orignally named ‘Hashpops & Lemonade’ Wize felt it was time to update.

This one is a complete MONSTER! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened since it was uploaded, the piano runs are something else. Go Check it out below!
