Two women, 9:00 am, BART

5 March 2013

A woman stands, reading what appears to be The New Yorker. She wears a beautiful grey marled coat with slim shoulders and a vent to shape the back. It balloons out slightly before tapering back in, gently. The collar stands up straight beneath her chin and and around an azure scarf she has wrapped securely around her neck. She has high cheekbones, both a prominent brow and nose, a very small mouth, gray hair wound into a messy chignon pinned with a clip, and sunglasses that look like fake Ray-Bans pushed up onto her head. She wears soft leopard print gloves. She wears faded jeans, old lace up black shoes, and carries a backpack.

Another woman with high cheekbones and a messy chignon stands down the aisle, this time in impossibly high heels and black pants. Her hair is bleached pale blond, has a wave to it. She wears a gray cardigan, black shirt, a beautiful gray scarf, carries a big black and bronze bag. She is pale, but not simply as if she is normally pale, which she is. Especially around the eyes she looks as if something has thrown her this morning.
