Got back to my room
At 3AM.
I saw your tea
Still sitting there
And thought of you.
All its warmth gone,
But remembering the warmth of your friendly company
And slow smile
And the small sliver of childhood we share.

Just thought you’d like to know,
You’re such a good friend.
Just thought I’d let you know,
You’re so much tougher than you know and what the world knows,
but God knows
And he lifts loads for you.

I won’t be the cliché and say “chin up, move on”
I won’t tell you what you’ve already heard.
But I will tell you
You’re brilliant
You’re lovely
Love you, sis.
