Where we take things at face value.
The construction of the Facebooth presented us with an opportunity to pick up some making skills — from wood to metal. We hooked up our camera to a monitor, set up some lights and set a few (silly)guidelines.
We operated the booth for two days. Reluctant participants when told “You are just a layer” became more willing to give us their face. It’s funny how some of us would rather be part of this dataset- hide our individual identity in that of the collective- than be seen as we are.
