Guess Who?
A spin on the classic game in order to reveal deeper layers of Identity
Looking for an engaging experiment? How about we play a game?
Guess Who? — Reversed.
You describe the person before you, but you obviously don’t want your opponent guessing- so you pick descriptions that are less obvious — something beyond the visual- deeper layers.
We used images of our classmates and had them fight it out — chess tournament style- audience and all- bang in the middle of the studio.
Findings from the game include:
- The usage of comparison to self — “ Shorter than me”, “More hair than me”
- The usage of ACTIONS (Why do the wheels not have actions as part of identity?)
- The usage of ‘not’ instead of ‘is’
- Saying “I think….” — again with reference to self and perspective
- The fact that they were being recorded and observed made them anxious about using certain descriptions.
Some hilarious arguments between Ivan and Jingle broke out as well — just another normal day with the team.
