RS21 Ranks in Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies — the Inc. 500
Data science, artificial intelligence and visualization company RS21 is № 485 on Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent small businesses.
RS21 grew 947 percent from 2016 to 2019 and ranks № 8 in its industry category, IT System Development. The company has created more than 100 big data platforms for clients in government, healthcare, non-profit, and private businesses to improve health, community safety, security and cybersecurity, infrastructure resilience and disaster preparedness.

RS21 was also recognized as a Fast Company 2020 Best Workplace for Innovators for its commitment to encouraging innovation at all levels and for the creation of the Urban Health Vulnerability Index, a data analytics tool that identifies urban neighborhoods at higher risk for COVID-19.
RS21’s recent work also includes developing a microgrid siting tool to encourage the adoption of sustainable energy systems and visualizing the potential flood impact on communities to keep citizens and businesses safe from flood events.

Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 500/5000 list been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well. The 2020 list of companies achieved an incredible three-year average growth of over 500 percent, and a median rate of 165 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years.
