How to block someone on LinkedIn or unblock them using your computer or the mobile app step by step follow the pictures.

Am I asking too many questions? Yes, I guess I am! Well, to assure you there is only one answer to these questions, that is the LinkedIn.

Actually, by now the reader might know what linked in is and what it is for. But there might be some confusion regarding the processes or how
their factors work. Well today I am going to show one of the problems that I faced as a beginner, that is how to block or unblock a connection/person over the website/mobile app of LinkedIn.

Blocking is essential for avoiding any kind of uncomfortable situation that might be there for the presence of that person/connection. One may block 1000 connections over LinkedIn. After Unblocking one has to wait 48 hours to re-block that connection.

How to block someone on LinkedIn

It’s quite the same for the Desktop Websites and the Mobile App (Android/IOS).

Let’s see what the steps are:

1. Firstly, go to that connection’s (the one you want to block) profile.

2. Then beside the name of the person there is a “Message” option and beside it, there is another option named “More”. The “More” the option below the Name in the mobile app. Click/tap on it.

3. After clicking on “More” there will be a window with some options and at the bottom of all those options, you will find “Report/Block” option.

4. Choose “Block [Name].”

5. Click on “Block” if you don’t want to hear from that person again.

How to unblock someone on LinkedIn

But if you want to unblock, just in case you change your mind, let’s see how to unblock any connection. Procedures are a little bit different in Desktop Website and mobile app.

Let’s see about the Desktop first,

Desktop

1. Click on the “Me” option (the option that is with your picture!). You can find this option on the right side of the top toolbar.

2. Select the “Settings & Privacy” option below the “Account” menu.

3. You will see a new settings window. On the left, you will find a menu. Click on “Visibility”.

4. On the right Various options will appear. Scroll down to find the “Blocking” option.

5. On the right side of “Blocking” you will find “Change”. Click on it.

6. Names of your Blocked Connections will appear. Click “Unblock” to unblock that person/Connection on LinkedIn.

Mobile

Now, let’s see the procedure of Unblocking through the Mobile app of LinkedIn.

1. Go to your Profile, simply by tapping on your profile picture.

2. Go to Settings by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of your profile page.

3. A menu will appear. The third option, namely “Visibility”, tap on it.

4. Scroll down to find “Blocking”. Tap on it.

5. The name of the connections you have blocked will appear. Select “Unblock” to unblock that connection over LinkedIn.

If You have not blocked anyone then there will be no names in the Blocking List whether it is on the Desktop Website or Mobile App of LinkedIn.

These procedures are applicable for the latest versions of Apps and Website.
