How RUBICON Saved the Holiday Season

Take a deep breath, acknowledge what a year it has been, and give yourself a pat on the back. You did it! You made it through 2020 — one for the books and one you’ll most certainly talk about for years to come. What a hectic year! This year we’ve all experienced many different challenges such as making the switch to working remotely, watching the world around us change, and overcoming our own personal hurdles. Now, don’t let this pandemic situation take over and let your holidays go to waste, ’tis the season to celebrate!

RUBICON’s Holiday Season

In March 2020, our team decided to switch to full-time remote work from the safety and comfort of our homes. It has been over ten months since the pandemic greatly changed our lives and our company lifestyle but we’re still pushing through. We’re extremely grateful and proud of our team that has been so positive, resilient, and hard-working — way to go RUBICON! Regardless of the situation, we accomplished many wonderful things and more importantly stuck together as a team constantly checking up on each other and finding safe and creative ways to socialize.

When the holiday season came around, we knew we had to find a way to make it extra special so last Friday we hosted a virtual Secret Santa gift exchange. We used a virtual gift exchange platform that helped us draw names, create wishlists, and record our addresses so we could mail the gifts to each other. On Friday, we decorated our work corners, dressed for the occasion, turned on our cameras, opened our mysterious gifts, and guessed our Secret Santas.
