Diversity Scholarship Program

Everyone is welcome to RubyConf Colombia

The program aims to support traditionally underrepresented and marginalized people in technology such as (but not limited to): women, LGBTQ, person of color, person with disabilities and indigenous, who would be unable to attend without some financial assistance.

Award

Scholarships consist of a ticket that grants access to all conference related events from the 8th to the 9th of September in Medellín. Travel assistance is not included.

Applications will be received until Friday June 23rd, 11:59pm COT. All applicants will be notified of their application’s status by Friday June 30th, 2017.

Applications are reviewed by a subset of RubyConf Colombia organizers and schol­ar­ships are awarded based on a com­bi­na­tion of need and impact.

Last year we assigned 25 scholarships and this year we want to offer at least 30. These scholarships are costly, that is why we need your help to make it happen.
