How to get to Medellín
The date for the conference is getting close and we want to help you find the most affordable flights or buses to get to Medellin. The following are options for people traveling from within Colombia.
Travel by airplane
If you come from Bogotá we have tree options for you. The estimated travel dates are September 6th and September 10th:
- Viva Colombia, outward flight from $79.000 and flight back from $72.000
- Avianca, outward flight from $150.000 y flight back from $265.000
- LAN, outward flight from $210.000 and flight back from $ 204.000
From Barranquilla you have three options going to Medellín and two going back, that is because Viva Colombia won’t be flying to Barranquilla starting September 8th. The estimated travel dates are September the 5th and and September 11th:
- Viva Colombia, outward flight from $63.000, estimated date September 4th
- Avianca, outward flight from $99.000 and flight back from $124.000
- LAN, outward flight from $293.000 and flight back from $247.000
And now from Cali with two option to go and back. Viva Colombia won’t have any flights to Medellin on those dates since they are adjusting the flight routes. The estimated travel dates are September 6th and September 11th:
- Avianca, outward flight from $98.000 and flight back from $210.000
- LAN, outward flight from $259.000 and flight back from $263.000
As a note we add that the airline Wingo doesn’t cover any route to Medellin from any of the principal cities of Colombia.
Travel by bus
From Bogotá:

From Cali:
- Expreso Palmira, outward rides at at 21:00, from $47.000
- Bolivariano, outward rides at 08:00, 20:00, 21:30, 23:00. From $58.000
- Empresa Arauca, outward rides at 06:30, 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 20:00 -21:00–23:00. From $60.000
From Barranquilla
- Expreso Brasilia, outward rides at 06:30, 09:00, 14:00, 18:00, 20:00. From $99.000
- Rápido Ochoa, outward rides back at 10:00, 17:30, 19:00, 21:00, 23:00. From $104.000
