#EnergySensing

Engage in the dance of fire and water the coming week — a dance of the persona and the shadows. Often in our world, we see an eruption of shadows, when what is in the suppressed collective unconscious emerges in a way that is usually rattling and violent. However, this seems to be a time, perhaps an unprecedented one energetically, of eruption of light — of what is conscious and known, disintegrating so that the unconscious has a place to rest, much like an erupting volcano sometimes creates a caldera.

A lot has come to the surface over the last year, facilitated by Covid-19, and we are now in awareness of aspects of our personal and collective reality that we were not erstwhile aware of, or willing to acknowledge. Some of this new conscious awareness now submits itself to fire, to be consumed to create space for renewal.

We may see the manifestations of these in terms of breakdowns of people, governments, systems and health. Some of these may have been building up over the last year and come to a head now. Welcome the breakdowns. They are much needed.

Trust that with the breakdown, will also come the personal and collective capacity to hold the repercussions of it, just like caldera lakes created by volcanoes can hold water (sometimes poisonous or acidic owing to gaseous discharges around volcanoes) in a manner that there is a natural dam around it and the water does not escape or contaminate anything else.

In Indian mythology, there is a story of the primordial churn of the ocean, and out of the churn, emerges the elixir of life (consciousness) and deadly poison (the shadows). The divine masculine principle in the form of Shiva is asked to hold the poison in his throat, and thus he assumes the form of Neelakanth (the one with the blue throat).

As breakdowns happen in the coming days and give you the gift of conscious growth, also tap into the capacity to be your own Neelakanth — to hold that, which cannot be processed at this time. Discern what is not to be swallowed and digested, and trust your ability to hold it till the time is right.

We will encounter parts of us in the coming days and weeks that we had no clue of; and it is important to welcome this experience. It is new, but we have the choice to reframe our fear into curiosity and let our questions pave the way into the future.
