If you’re not a runner (or even if you are) the title of this piece might be a bit confusing to you.

Have you ever asked a friend how a race went and maybe they said something like: oh, I totally Jeffed it!

And you might be wondering what on earth they’re talking about!

Since I’m fairly new to the running game (or at least this wasn’t something I learned about years ago when I used to run), I just recently learned about ‘jeffing’ myself.

Which is basically turning someone’s name into a verb. You might wonder, who is this Jeff?

The Jeff that is referred to is Jeff Galloway, a famous American running coach. You may have heard of the ‘run/walk’ method. Where you run for a bit, and walk for a bit, at intervals. Maybe run for 2 minutes walk for 30 seconds. Or maybe you run 5 minutes and walk for 1. Whatever ratio works for you, as long as you keep it consistent — even if you feel silly doing it right at the beginning of a race! You might start a race and then just 3 or 5 minutes into it is when your first walking interval is…and you might feel silly walking when you just started and still have plenty of…
