I’m a member of various running groups on Facebook. And there are often people asking a variety of the same questions over and over again, such as:

What running shoes should I get?

Do I need to use gels/fuel?

Do I need to drink water/have a hydration vest during a half marathon (or any race distance)?

Is it okay to take walk breaks during a race?

Should you run fasted?

Is it okay to run every day?

Should I wear a hydration vest for X distance?

Should I warm up before a run (and in the same vein, do a cool down stretch)?

Should I join a run club/group?

What smart watch/device should I get for running?

For the above questions the answer it seems, is:

It depends!

It’s personal, it’s trial and error, it’s what works best for you and your body. You need to try these things out and see how they feel for you because we’re all different!
