Here’s my month of July running journey run down! I ran a total of 122.63km (not the most I’ve done in a month but not too bad). So let’s get started.

Monday July 1st

It’s Canada Day here today, so I started day 1 of my 50km training plan! 5.5km easy run, and within that, I did day 3 of week 4 of my Peloton Road To Half Marathon training plan which was a 30 minute recovery run — instead of day 1 of week 4 which was intervals or day 2 45 min endurance.

  • And I started my run wearing a tank top, but then decided to be brave and take it off and just run in my new longline sports bra — first timegever just running lin a bra! It was quite nice! It was very cooling, even though it wasn’t all that hot yet (about 17C), and it was mostly cloudy so I wasn’t concerned about getting burned.
  • Distance: 5.72km and average pace 8:17km/min. So slow-ish. Walked briefly here and there. Overall nice run, but I got quite sweaty (I didn’t really realize how much I sweat until recently!).

And I’ve decided to do my first ever Parkrun at some point soon! Hoping to maybe meet up with some locals from my Run With Intention…
