Taking upon a hobby, a passion, or a lifestyle is not only about doing such and calling it a day. It also entails studying, analyzing, and pondering on its technique and reason.

This is why I always make it a goal to myself to read as many running related books as I can, not only does it inspire me to keep running, it teaches me how to work on my technique as well as to how to approach my next training run or race day.

10 books I recommend every runner to read:

Technique

1. Marathon: The Ultimate Training Guide by Hal Higdon, in this book Higdon delves into every little aspect that takes place in running a marathon. He talks about technique, muscles, training, diet, and even includes several training plans at the back of the book.

2. Race Everything by Bart Yasso, full of tips and tricks for every distance in running, from the 5K to ultramarathons, and even multiple day events. This book also includes training plans for all these distances.

3. Train Smart Run Forever by Bill Pierce and Scott Murr, this book focuses on teaching running techniques for those that want to keep firing up their legs until their late 90s. What I love…
