The last few years have been a transformative moment that has brought the reality of sexual assault and how it permeates women’s every day lives to the forefront of a lot of cultural conversations. I’d say it’s centuries too late to undo some of the damage, but it’s awesome that more and more people understand what we go through, even though we’ve been screaming about this for a long time.

Anywho, better late than never.

That conversation won’t get rid of the fact that if you’re a woman who wants to go out into the word, you will be harassed. It’s just an unfortunate fact of our existence. A sucky one. But it’s a fact and we can’t ignore that. The most we can do is add even more steps to our lives and take on even more emotional labor to keep ourselves from going completely insane due to our reality.

Here are some tips for getting through your jog without dealing with pesky inconveniences like being chased, harassed and even assaulted:

If a guy is lightly harassing you through your job, or quick stretch before you start jogging… ask him his credit score. No seriously. Ask him.
