Why You Should Run Ultramarathons
I started running ultramarathons when I turned 60 years old. My move to ultras was part of an effort to lift my running out of the doldrums. For the past fifteen years or so I had been running mostly for fitness and not for competition. I decided to run the Pikes Peak Marathon to shake those doldrums and my research into training for Pikes Peak led me to learn more about ultramarathons.
