Situations like this in which words fail us are not rare. But don’t worry, for lack of better words, emoji — with its proper balance of nonsensical playfulness and jovial engagement — come very handy at such moments.

As social media has grown, these pictorial representations of feelings are playing a significant role in our communication. A healthy dose of emoji in instant messaging makes you appear more friendly and competent. They’re ok even in business settings, creating a happier workplace.
