Russian Government and Bitcoin

Cryptocurrency users in Russian couldn’t get any use of softening of the cryptocurrency legislation and the authorities’ interest in the blockchain technology. The St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office suddenly blocked 40 Internet resources at once, where was the information about Bitcoin. Basically in this list there are websites of exchange offices. It is puzzling how the prosecutor’s office formulates the reasons for the ban, as well as the decision of the court that has taken the side of the prosecutor’s office.

According to the authorities, the cryptocurrency is not provided with real value, its turnover is anonymous and digital currencies are located outside the legal field. The court decision also sates: “The process of release and circulation of Bitcoins is completely decentralized, there is no possibility of their regulation, also by the state”.

It is ridiculous, because there is no any law which allow just to ban it. And they just decided to lock cryptocurrency’s websites because they can’t control them. Because there is no law, rights and freedoms in Russia.

And also one more beautiful statement of Russian court according the dissemenation of knowledge about cryptocurrencies. They says that it “causes the active use of cryptocurrency in the trade of drugs, weapons, illegal documents”. But you can read our previous document about social and economic situation in Russia and learn that the problem is not in cryptocurrency. And also everyone know that blockchain and cryptocurrency is the future but Russian Government do not want to allow Russian people to be educated, informed, wealthy and happy;)
