The value of the creative is becoming ever more valuable as the ease of content creation and distribution increases.

Wait… what??

Simply put, now that my 13-year-old cousin has an iPhone in their back pocket, he can upload footage of himself playing video games for hours on end. AND he can make money doing it.

Every 13-year-old boys dream, right!?

The only thing that they have to do to make mad bank, is BE GOOD.

As long as they are talented, they will win — whether that may mean being super skilled in the game itself, OR filming a hilarious commentary over the footage, OR doing something completely unique and random and interesting enough to get views, they will succeed!

What does this mean for everyone else who isn’t a 13-year-old boy who loves video games?

Well… super talented photographers and artists can now build a following.

And …. charities can build a following to raise awareness/support for their cause.

And… business people can sell their products through captivating content.

The list goes on and on forever.

And this is just the beginning.

We are currently living in the digital gold rush.

Those who embrace social media and leverage the attention asset that is “social media,” will win… regardless of who they are and what they are trying to achieve.
