Even though we got busier with non-blockchain related projects we are still very passionate about what we are building. We are constantly trying to find new ways to make web hosting better for both users and developers.

🖥 PlayOS

PlayOS will be at the front and center of enabling this new Webhosting with Rutile. It will be the decentralized login provider that allows you to manage your account and apps. This way you are in full control of what the app can read and write to your account. Of course, PlayOS is not required for your web platform but it does make everything easier for both your user and your developers.

In the spirit of this, we’ve developed a way Dapps can sign and send transactions without needing the user permission. Each Dapp that the user signed up for gets a unique private key that is only tailored for that specific Dapp. This way the user can allow access to their wallet with specific permissions (Which he/she can revoke at any time).

We’ve also updated the design a bit 😉

🤝 Consensus

We’ve updated the consensus to pick nodes on a round-robin base. We are planning to move over to RANDAO but we want to quickly iterate on the chain and be able to demo it ASAP.

We are currently trying to make Rutile PBFT and trying to remove the limit of block time, allowing the network to move quicker with the number of fast nodes there are in the network.

🚀 Up ahead

Currently, we want to focus on getting a real Dapp to be run on Rutile & PlayOS without complicating the process. Our goal here is to be able to create a simple site with backend and deploy it on Rutile with domain coupling. With all the parts slowly comping together we can realize this.
