The 2020 Election: Our Future
The 2020 election is finally coming to an end.
We have all experienced loss in one way or another this year. Some of us have lost loved ones, jobs, the ability to go out when we want to, spending time with friends, family, and so many other ways.
The 2020 election is finally coming to an end. Our future as a country is on the ballot as much as the candidates running. I know we are all ready for some new television commercials and social media advertisements. Heck, even a good old fashioned pair of jeans being promoted instead of the incendiary rhetoric we continue to see would be a welcome change.
No matter what side of the political spectrum you belong to, we have to get back to some level of normalcy. I am exhausted with crisis after crisis and want to see action from our elected officials to address the most pressing issues we currently face.
I joined the military to protect and defend your right to vote. All I ask is that you take that right seriously and make sure to exercise it. Vote like your life depends on it this year because it does. We cannot continue this daily anger, frustration, and bantering if we expect to move on to a more progressive future.
Being progressive does not have an ideology. It means your ready for progress. To move forward. To become a better, stronger, more resilient country. Do not forget what is at stake this year and get up, get out, and VOTE.
“Only the people who say it can’t be done will be the reason why it can’t get done.”
