Product Design Process

A high level outline for successful products

Based on user centered, lean, and agile design methodologies.

Post Mortem

What lessons have already been learned? How did existing solutions perform? What are the known knowns? What are the known unknowns?

Problem Statement

In which way might we enable $targetUser to solve $biggestProblem?

Hypothesis

If I do this ($biggestProblemSolution), then this ($desiredData) will happen.

Measurements

If $datapoint = $desiredData then $biggestProblemSolution is a success. Start the process over again for the next biggest problem.

If $datapoint does not = $desiredData then research and learn potential reasons to run through the process as the $biggestProblem to design solutions to fix, which should fix the higher level original problem.
