Developed at the Player Development Center Laudo Natel and professional player from 2015 to 2017, when he left to Torino-ITA, Lyanco has been recovering at the Barra Funda Training Center since last week after suffering a left foot injury at the end of last year. The defender also took the time to meet his teammates again.

“São Paulo opened the doors and welcomed me. I feel good here, like I’m home, and I work with great professionals to recover. I really trust the doctors and physiotherapists of the club”, says the athlete, who suffered the injury on December 24, 2017, during the game against Spal (2 x 2).

“It’s an annoying injury, but now I’m much better. Unfortunately this got in the way, because I was already adapted to Italian soccer. But I will be ready to play again soon”, says Lyanco, who receives daily care from the medical department in this rehabilitation process.

The defender, who started playing for São Paulo in 2015 after showing his potential playing for Botafogo’s youth team, made his debut for the Tricolor professional team in July of that year. “My relationship with São Paulo is one of love. It goes beyond anything”, says the player, who reunited with the friends he made in São Paulo.

“I have a lot of friends in São Paulo and it was nice to meet people like Lucas Fernandes and Lugano. I have good memories of the club and I’m always cheering for them”, concluded the defender.
