May be Human beings operate on a blockchain. No computer needs to be involved, just plain old sweat and hard labor.

That’s a thought I began writing this with. Blockchain is a concept that is seemingly inspired by the human experience. We pool our efforts together for greater reward. We sweat together, solve problems in groups to mine a greater future.

These days, its changing greatly. Armed with digital tools, we are more powerful in terms of output yet slowly growing leaner than ever.

The use of AI agents for everything , is vastly underestimating the importance of struggle. The life of comfort has everything at fingertips.

Yes, there was a time when people struggled greatly and needed problems to be solved.

Not having a cooling system like refridgerator spoiled food. Not having reliable electricity dimmed visual acuity and caused accidents. Fire kept away wild life. Those inventions and innovations proved as blessings.

Would you call AI a blessing (yet) ?

AI is writing your notes, creating presentations, creating videos on your behalf, making your paintings, making your identity obsolete. The volume of perfect outputs is bringing down the value of labour.

It’s a problem when you lose context and the “why” something is important and why the output is considered “perfect”. That meta-knowledge / awareness is a unique phenomena imprinted by the biology of your body.

Google search in my opinion was a human experience sweet spot between not having access to information to just having enough access. When there was no good search engine, you thanked Google mentally for its existence. Perplexity AI is definitely a nice to have interface on top of Google. It’s still a nice to have, nonetheless.

Now, I think that AI industry is heading in a direction of solving problems that do not exist. They are providing solutions before letting people ask serious questions. We might need to pause a bit to keep up and understand what this whole AI experience is trying to teach.

Coming back to the premise of this post.

If we don’t sweat or appreciate the idea of it , we end up losing the muscle and a nerve to think. The reward is the wisdom and a wealth of perspective.

Pain is a very uncomfortable thing when it is about the biological survival.

When things are going right, when it is not about survival, it’s a good idea to embrace some struggle voluntarily to keep things well oiled.

Imperfection is awesome and it is very enjoyable :)

My struggle to express is a satisfactory experience. Struggle that way is a blessing in disguise!

Thank you for reading !
