Alt-Twitter Accounts and Resistance

I’m psyched to see legit resistance, but…

Is anyone else noticing the alt-resistance gov accounts on twitter… all kinda use similar grammar and syntax and talking points? And are brazenly leaking commentary while so many other whistleblowers never had those luxuries? And that a lot of focus on “resistance” in the past two days has been hailing those working from within? With almost zero acknowledgments for the communities who have been doing groundwork resistance for years upon years?

It just seems like a mirage of a Deus ex during America’s death spiral.

Maybe my cynicism is finally just getting the best of me. I can’t tell anymore.

Reminder: Resistance is here, now. Resistance is feeding your community, housing those who need it, providing care without restriction. Resistance is invalidating the need for capital, mutual aid without question. Resistance is the refusal to normalize barbed wire, cages, and torture. Resistance is risking your own security and safety for the collective safety of others. Resistance is defending those around us from harm and remaining steadfast against the exponential growth of hate. Resistance is decentralized, without the need for anonymous State approval, without the media nodding in agreement.

Be careful where you invest your heart and hopes, beautiful friends. 💙
