You’re Not Mine.

One glance and you left me hanging,
It was cold, your hand not in mine,
Sipping coffee under red umbrellas,
Lost in your eyes, your words became music.
Unbeknownst to my heart, you're still away.
Daggers digging deep, it was all a farce,
I was choking in my own bubble,
Pretending all of this was done.

In the land of the stars, rum in my hands,
The facade broke away, shattered to dust.
We were drunk in us, lying on the sidewalks,
Around the smoke rings and noir nails,
The lights leading us together in granite,
Falling out of line, hope in the air.
I'm always left wondering,
What am I to you, if you're not mine?
