The city nestled between the hills.
Built to be a fortress from the enemy and the elements.
The pulse of the hills, the path way to rejuvenation
Now a cradle of rebirth, commerce, and diversification.
It’s a fascinating place!
A humungous maze,
With its mysteries and layers.
Made strong by its peoples' hopes and prayers.
And underground cities that overlaps.
It’s complex, and unique — an outlier perhaps.
It’s a city of possibilities and magic.
A mix of the old and the new.
The city on the hills,
That’s Chongqing for you.
