What does your heart say when you’re crushed under the weight of cares,
And you find it difficult to breathe?
What does it say when your world has gone silent?
And the silence threatens to consume you?
What does it say when you can’t love the face in the mirror?
And you hate yourself for the things you’ve done?
What does it say?
I hope it echoes the words of love you gave to others who were stumbling along
I hope it sings your song right back to you
And re-light the embers that are growing cold
I hope it brings to your rememberance
The promise you made to yourself when you were a little girl
I hope your heart reminds you that you are unique, a rare gift to this world
And I hope your heart never stops telling you how deeply you are loved
