We’re proud that our top talent attracts global recognition. Here are some of the prizes won during the 2019/20 academic year

Andrew Baum, Professor of Practice at Saïd Business School, won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Real Estate Society for his contributions to research, education and practice. He is the founder and director of the Oxford Future of Real Estate Initiative.

Rhonda Hadi, Associate Professor of Marketing has been reappointed to retiring age. This is akin to tenure at Oxford and is awarded following extensive evaluation of research output and other factors during an initial period of office.

Professor Andrew Stephen, Associate Dean of Research and L’Oréal Professor of Marketing, has been named as one of 35 scholars for the Marketing Science Institute Scholars for 2020. Professor Stephen was also the UK’s most published writer in the premier marketing journals during 2019 according to the American Marketing Association.

Trust Fellow Rachel Botsman has been ranked 30th in the 2019 Thinkers 50 list. The expert on trust in the digital world also ranked second in LinkedIn’s Top Voices of 2019, behind only Sir Richard Branson.

Bent Flyvbjerg, BT Professor and inaugural Chair of Major Programme Management, received the 2019 PMI Research Achievement Award in recognition of his research, particularly his pioneering work in megaproject management.

Associate Professor Michael Gill has been named one of the Best 40 Under 40 Professors by MBA website Poets & Quants. Gill, who received more than 100 nominations from students, has published research into mentoring and suffering within organisations. He is currently looking at why many organisations fail to implement mental health policies.

Marya Besharov, Professor of Organisations and Impact, received a 2020 Responsible Research in Management Award for high-quality scientific research into critical issues in business and society. The recognition was for her article ‘Bowing before dual gods: How structured flexibility sustains organizational hybridity’.
