Clearwater Bagel Co.

This place is so close, it’s literally a 10 minute walk from the Grand Ave. entrance of campus; this way there’s no need to move the car. Nestled in the same shopping center as Lollicup, this “ma and pa” bagel place is perfect for grabbing a bite before or after an early class. They have the softest bagels in Walnut with a variety of homemade cream cheeses. Granted, they don’t have the largest tables, but if you need to catch up on some reading, this is the place to do so. It’s usually very quiet since many people don’t know about it, and the ones who do, usually take their bagels to go.

Sugar Rush Café

My goodness, this place is amazing. Its location is not easily seen but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. If you’re a breakfast person, this is your place. They have amazing French toast and waffles. If you’re more of a sandwich person, then still, this place is for you. This café is tiny, yet comfortable. Wide tables to spread out on, comfy booths in the back of the restaurant for quiet studying, no music, and very polite employees. Only a six-minute drive from campus, so there is little risk of being late to your next class.

DoMo Sushi & Roll

A sushi place may not seem like the usual place you’d think of when trying to find a place to study, but being that this restaurant is located directly across the street from Mt. SAC, it’s worth checking out. The sushi is very good for such reasonable prices, and very generous portions. The tables are large and the service is amazing. The sweet lady that usually works there is very attentive, and the sushi is always plated beautifully. During lunch hours this is an awesome choice to get some homework done like math, maybe not the best place to read, but definitely a good spot for busy work.

Panera Bread

Most people know of Panera already, and although it tends to be busy, we can’t pass it up as one of our favorites. Panera has extremely comfortable booths, big enough tables for group studying, two chairs next to a fire place, and a lifted island with outlets in the table for easy access. It’s obviously a great place to grab a bite, especially for someone with a sweet tooth. If visited early in the morning, or late at night, Panera is a very quiet place to study; as long as you’re not there during the lunch hours.

Tom N Toms Coffee

Great place for coffee, friendly employees, not the nearest café but this place has so many tables with so much table space. Surrounded in windows, this spot has great natural light. When visiting, the three guests inside were studying. No one was chatting away or loud, so if you don’t mind taking a drive up the hill, Tom N Toms is great. Open till 12 a.m.

Starbucks Coffee

We can’t forget about Starbucks! They always have amazing drinks, and people whose sole purpose is to either get some work done, or have a small chat over coffee. Not into coffee, but need caffeine? They have an amazing Cool Lime Refresher, but ask for strawberry juice to substitute for the water, it will change your life.

Lollicup Coffee & Tea

Lollicup made the list because of location. It is right across the street from school, but tends to become a little crowded. There are couches and big tables, and the cheap drinks are made relatively fast. The place is always kept clean and the baristas will not kick you out for staying for hours on end studying, which is rare. Even though Lollicup is popular, the environment is still relaxed.

It’s a Grind Coffee House

This family ran establishment is a prime place for studying. With free, fast wi-fi and the many outlets running along side the tables, you’re guaranteed a good spot. There are a few comfy chairs for those who want to sink into a spot to read. The iced teas are amazing, and the friendly baristas will bring your order right to your table. Sometimes, every couple of hours, they will even give free bakery samples. If you’re a smoker, they allow smoking outside, not many places do.

CK Café

This place is an absolute favorite. Unfortunately, it’s not right down the street from school but the list of pros outweighs the con. Very comfy chairs, all of the inside chairs are couches. Plenty of table space, plenty of outlets, and the best part is no music. Since there is no music, and the usual crowd keeps to themselves, CK Café is super quiet. There is a broad selection of loose leaf teas displayed and made to order, along with boba and coffee, but their tea is extremely good. Some other cool perks are that hookah is offered here, but only outside so no one is bothered by the smoke. There are roomy tables offered outside as well under trees and twinkly lights. Since this place is located in an alley, it can be hard to miss, but also makes it somewhat exclusive. The perfect hole in the wall that’s open till 12 a.m. daily.

Klatch Coffee

Right off the 57 freeway, Klatch Coffee is a popular coffee spot in San Dimas. This place has some of the best baked goods and some very unique latté flavors. Sometimes it tends to be crowded, but if you don’t mind noise, Klatch offers tons of tables and great service.
