

7-Eleven Will Now Deliver to Your Doorstep
DoorDash and 7-Eleven recently announced they will partner to launch an on demand delivery service in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington D.C. Customers can now order their favorite products at any 7-Eleven store in their area.
This is the first partnership for DoorDash outside of restaurant delivery. Doordash was founded in 2013 by University of Stanford students. Their main object is to bring customers and local businesses together with an on demand delivery. This new service is available through the Doordash app that can be found or through their website.
DoorDash Co-founder and CEO Tony Xu said in a press statement, “7‑Eleven has shown a true commitment to learning the ins and outs of delivery and even went dashing with our team to see DoorDash in action. We’ve worked closely throughout the testing process to ensure that their products — from convenience goods to fresh and prepared foods — are well suited for delivery.”
The service will provide convenience packs such as the “Date Night Pack” for $20 plus a $2 service fee which includes a tub of Ben & Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, a Hershey’s chocolate bar, a can of Red Bull, an 18-piece pack of Trident gum and a three-pack of Trojan Ultra Thin condoms, and the “Hangover Pack” for $15 which includes includes extra-strength headache medicine, a fruit punch Gatorade, a large pepperoni pizza, and a smoked turkey and pepper jack sandwich. Other convenience packs will be offered.
For sports fans, $25 Gameday Pack consists of 10 buffalo wings, a 2-liter bottle of Coke, Doritos Nacho Cheese, a large pepperoni pizza and Tostitos Scoops. And for customers who coming down with the flu, the $20 Sniffles Pack comes with a 20-ounce Orange Gatorade and 7-Eleven brand allergy relief, cold and flu relief, Ibuprofen and tissues.
The cheapest of the bundles, the $9.75 Endurance Pack, offers a 1.93-ounce 5-Hour Energy Extra Strength, a Clif chocolate chip car and one of either a Monster energy drink, a 12-ounce RedBull energy drink or a 16-ounce Rockstar energy drink.
Customers will also have the option to order any other products that 7-Eleven carries with the exception of their famous Slurpees and alcoholic beverages.
Jose Benitez, a 19-year-old computer science major at Fullerton College said the new services sounds convenient and helpful.
“ I will definitely try it out,” he said.
